Serbian spruce (Picea omorika) – tree species of the pine family. The tree grows in mountain areas in Serbia and Bosnia, in Poland it is cultivated as a decorative species. It is resistant to frost and exhibits good tolerance for drought and air pollution. Due to its high resistance to disadvantageous conditions it is commonly planted in parks and gardens as a decorative plant. The Serbian spruce’s pace of growth reaches even 1 meter per year what makes it the fastest growing species of spruce.
